Areas of Volunteering

Want to learn more about triathlons - but not ready to do a race? Why not volunteer? Are you coming to support your family member but don't want to stand around all day? Be part of the

By volunteering in the Puerto Rico HALFIRON Endurance Weekend you will become an integral part of the organization and the race itself. Be out on the course watching the race in progress, or around the transition area listening to the excitement as it unfolds. Every volunteer will receive a T-Shirt, among other surprises.

We have a need for volunteers in various aspects of each race. Some of these areas include:

1. Registration / administration volunteers
2. Body marking and timing chip distribution
3. Course marshals – (Bike and Run) Road (Bike) Marshalls - must be over 18 - you keep the bikes going in the right direction
4. Water/aid stations
5. Food preparation/distribution
6. Lifeguards
7. Aid Station Helpers – Manager and Crew
8. Finish line catchers - keeping the finishers upright after their day long battle
9. Medical Assistance - Doctors, Nurses and first aiders.
10. Motorcycle escorts
11. Course Set-up Crew - swim, bike and run
12. Communications - (need experience in radio use)
13. Drivers - must be over 25
14. Competitor Liaison (background in triathlon is useful)
15. Guides - Get to meet visitors to show them around Metropolitan Area.
