Individual Time Trial

The Puerto Rico HALFIRON Individual Time Trial will take place in Puerto Rico for the very first time in an unprecedented distance of 40 km. Participants will be able to measure their individual capacity and physical condition in the flat fast course for the Puerto Rico National Championship of Puerto Rico. This distance will be part of the UCI rules and regulations. For the Veteran category distance will be of 20km.

The event will take place in a circuit of loops with Champion Chip technology. The roads are expected to be closed to motorists and only support staff and judges will be allowed on the course. Being a non drafting event, judges will be forcing rules throughout the route ensuring that all participants follow the same standards established by the race directors.

The route will be shared with triathletes making it unique in its class. The route that will be followed is the same route described in the HALFIron Distance Triathlon. A significant number of participants is expected to participate in this event. Race director will announce the maximum number of participants under this category.

In order to assure participants that this event will be competitive, if the number of participants is not achieved, the directors then reserve the right to postpone the event for a future date and all registration fees will be reimbursed. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE HALFIRON DISTANCE 70.3 WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE REGARDLESS THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS.
